Tom Connors

President, Chief Executive Officer & Director
  • Joined Cathedral in February 2021
  • Since 2003, held various positions with Ensign Energy Services, most recently Executive VP of seven business lines and a member of the Senior Executive Committee
Mr. Connors has been the President and Chief Executive Officer of ACT since March 8, 2021. He was also appointed to the Board of Directors as of that date. Prior to his appointments with ACT, Mr. Connors held progressively senior leadership roles, including as an Executive Vice President, with an international oilfield services provider, from 2003 until 2020. Prior to 2003, he held various finance and operations roles with companies across Canada. Mr. Connors has a Bachelor of Arts from Memorial University in Newfoundland and a Master of Business Administration from Queens University.

Rob Skilnick

Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Skilnick joined ACT as its Chief Financial Officer in April 2025, after spending more than 15 years as a financial executive of various companies, including a majority of that time as a CFO for TSX-listed oilfield services companies. Prior to this, Mr. Skilnick spent 8 years with KPMG in its audit practice. Mr. Skilnick has a CPA, CA designation and Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan.

Suzanne Davies

Vice President Legal & Corporate Secretary
Ms. Davies joined ACT in late 2022 after a 16-year career with a large international oilfield services provider. Prior to that, Ms. Davies articled and was an associate at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in Calgary for six years. She has a joint B.C.L / LL.B degree from the McGill University Faculty of Law and a Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from the University of Calgary.

Manoj Gopalan

President, Rime Downhole Technologies
Mr. Gopalan founded Rime with BJ Weber in 2012. Proir to Rime, he held several positions in management and engineering in various companies. Mr. Gopalan is a mechanical engineer by training and holds a bachelors and masters degree in engineering and a bachelors in math. He has worked on mwd his entire career, which now spans almost 20 years.

BJ Weber

Senior Vice President, Engineering & Technology 

Mr. Weber founded Rime with Mr. Gopalan in 2012. Prior to Rime, he held several positions in management and engineering in various companies. Mr. Weber is an electrical engineer by training and holds a bachelors degree in engineering and a masters in computer science. Mr. Weber has spent most of his career in mwd equipment design.

Vaugn Spengler

Senior Vice President Operations, Altitude Energy Partners

Mr. Spengler joined Altitude in September of 2021 as VP of Business Development upon the acquisition of Valiant Energy Services Ltd. where he was Owner and President since the company’s inception in 2013.  In  2023, Vaugn assumed the role of Senior Vice President of Canadian Operation. In December 2025, Mr. Spengler assumed the role of Senior Vice President of North American Operations.

Tony Visotto

Vice President Operations, Discovery Downhole Services

Mr. Visotto has been in directional drilling since 1997, starting as an MWD/DD in the field. He previously worked for Ensign Directional in 2012 and was the General Manager until it was purchased by ACT Energy Technologies in 2022. Mr. Visotto was then acting as the Vice President of Canadian Operations until 2024, when he was transferred to the United States to run Discovery Downhole Services.

Chris Wilson

Vice President, Stryker Directional

Mr. Wilson is one of the company’s original founding team members and has been part of the organization since its inception in 2010. Over the past 15 years, he has played a central role in building Stryker from a small startup directional drilling company into one of the largest privately owned directional drilling providers in the United States. Mr. Wilson began his career in the field as an MWD Engineer and Directional Driller before transitioning into leadership in 2014. Under his direction, Stryker expanded from two operating basins to six, opened new facilities—including a major Permian Basin location—and strengthened partnerships with key operators.
